NYMAZ is pleased to publish its Annual Review for the year 2016-17.
Sarah Derbyshire, Chair, comments: ‘Looking back on NYMAZ’s achievements over the past year reminds me what a busy and fruitful time it has been. It is particularly gratifying to see how NYMAZ initiatives have extended our influence and impact at a regional and national level.
‘Because NYMAZ is based in one of the most geographically isolated parts of England, we have a profound understanding of the additional hurdles that face a young person wanting to take part in music making in a rural area. So we’ve been working hard to develop new and inventive ways to make access to music easier – not just in North Yorkshire, but in other areas that face similar challenges.’
You can read the annual review in full below, and hear about the positive changes that NYMAZ’s music activities have made to the lives of young people living in rural areas, as well how we have been supporting and influencing the wider music education sector.
NYMAZ is hugely grateful to all its supporters and collaborators who enable NYMAZ to make a positive difference to young people’s lives. If you would like to support our work by making a donation, please visit www.nymaz.org.uk/donate.
