Musicians in Residence
Location: Special Schools across North Yorkshire

Age group: 5 - 19 Years
One musician per year will become ‘Musician in Residence’ in a partner special school, delivering developmental music sessions throughout the year, working with small groups of pupils and offering some 1:1 sessions. They will work in close partnership with school staff, identifying personal, social and musical outcomes for pupils across the sessions. The content of each residency project will be carefully tailored to the individual needs of the school, but they will all focus on creative music making and working with school staff to embed new ideas and best practice that can continue after the lifetime of the project.
