Ambassadors Open Mic!

Join us for Ambassadors Open Mic!

Ripon Library, The Arcade, Ripon, HG4 1AG
Wednesday 26 June, 6pm - 8pm

We are really excited to have Sam Hodgson joining us to run this brilliant ‘Open Mic Event!’ an interactive workshop looking at how to develop your ideas, create something new, start up an open mic and deliver! Along with some practical music-making and performance in an open-mic at the end of the session.

Sam is a freelance musician specialising in community workshops and composition for dance, installation and theatre. He is becoming one of the leading contributors to the Huddersfield music scene with his band Samh who have travelled the country playing high profile festivals such as Bath Folk, Edinburgh Fringe and Tramlines (to name a few!). His company Rattle & Thud are leading the way in local music promotion with gigs, videos, 2 annual festivals, podcasts, radio and Internet presence. Sam also runs a live music events venue called the Northern Quarter!

As you can see Sam has a vast range of experience and expertise and we cannot wait to see what ideas and events you come up with at this next session! We are looking forward to a practical open mic night at the Library!

So come along with your friends, instruments, ideas and questions!

NYMAZ can help with your travel expenses to the event so please get in touch with us by emailing grace@nymaz.org.uk if you need support with this.

We look forward to seeing you there.
