Creative Music Making : Accessible ideas for using music in the classroom

Tuesday 28 January
3.45pm - 5.00pm
Welburn Hall School, Kirkbymoorside, YO62 7HQ

This NYMAZ SEND Music Network twilight training event is open to all teachers and music leaders with an interest in developing their musical skills to support pupils with SEND - no previous musical experience is required.

Led by Tom Sherman this session will explore techniques and activites for using music in the classroom

Activities will be based around guiding the natural creativity of pupils to help them develop quality pieces of music, based on themes or narratives, and with a strong emphasis on the visualisation of sound.

The session will include ideas that have a strong cross curricular potential and could be used to enhance learning in areas such as Maths, Science, Geography and Art.

This training event has been made possible through a partnership between Live Music Now, NYMAZ and the North Yorkshire Music Hub.
