NYMAZ’s partner organisations have some fantastic music activities on offer this half term!

IMPs is a weekly term-time inclusive music club for children and young people aged 8 – 21 from Scarborough and the surrounding area which is due to start in summer 2016.
IMPs is to bring disabled and non-disabled children and young people together as equals to make music, forge new friendships, develop skills and confidence and build a greater understanding of the world around them by becoming visible, active members of their local community.
The taster workshop will be followed by an afternoon of performances from local and regional choirs including the Coastival choir, the SJT Global Voices Choir, Hands and Voices Choir, The SJT Youth Choir and the SJT Funky Choir.

Join community musicians Colin Bailey and Julie Simpson for a fun-filled three hours of creative music-making. Sessions are aimed at primary school aged children (six to eleven years old) and explore sound, rhythm, percussion and popular song. [Sessions are suitable for families to take part together; younger children must be supervised by a responsible adult].

Join songwriter Alex Cromarty in the library on Wednesday afternoon, and have fun with words and making music! These free songwriting workshops take place at 1-3pm and 4-6pm.
