Join us for an inspiring afternoon that will feature a range of practical CPD workshops, alongside an interactive panel discussion on elements of the HEARD model.
The programme will offer insights into excellent practice when making music with children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as providing the opportunity to network with others in the sector. The event is open to all who are working with (or interested in learning more about working with) children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. You might be a music practitioner, workshop leader, classroom teacher, part of an arts organisation, a student or a freelance practitioner. Everyone is welcome!

Our fantastic programme of speakers and facilitators includes:

The Dovetail Trio, Live Music now
‘Musical Starts’ - Creating inclusive songs and music activities with groups.

Hannah Thompson, Accessible Arts and Media
‘Creating Musical Storybags’ – A look at developing a fun and interactive sensory musical resource

Join NYMAZ and our Steering Group to discuss key focus areas for the SEND sector. Take the time to Network with other practitioners and explore these topics together!

There is a very small car park outside the venue, but we would recommend delegates to use the local car parks: Fossbank Car Park, Feversham House, 15 Jewbury, York YO31 7PL.
The venue is accessible to wheelchair users.
NOTICE: Due to the bespoke nature of our work, tickets are only refundable up to 5 days prior to the event. After this they are non-refundable. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for loss of travel or other expenses in the unlikely event that we have to cancel. We will happily deal with any queries or complaints on an individual basis.
