We were delighted to find out that over £900 had been raised for NYMAZ by visitors to Deer Shed Festival last weekend!
We sent musician Ali Mac along to the festival to lead percussion and songwriting workshops on Sunday afternoon. They were really popular and packed out the ‘Over the Rainbow’ tent (and not just because of the rain)! He had a brilliant time, and especially enjoyed the fab songs and lyrics written by some of the young people in his songwriting workshop. And thanks to the generosity of guests and performers, who dropped their donations into our bright blue charity buckets around the festival throughout the weekend, we will be able to bring music into the lives of even more children and young people! Thank you!
All donations, no matter how small, make a huge difference to the charity, and allow us to continue our work enabling music-making opportunities for children and young people in North Yorkshire who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
