A family friendly inclusive music festival led by our top-notch team of young leaders!
This year we are delivering our festival a little bit differently, with events across two days!
On the 21st June, Make Music Day, we will be showcasing some online events, workshops and performances from Rural Fest as a little teaser for what’s to come on Saturday 25 June at our full festival celebration!
We will be celebrating our third year running with a range of music from local artists across North Yorkshire, and possibly beyond, you will have to stay tuned for the full programme when it gets released!
The festival aims to explore the themes of rural and the environment, and what these words mean to us. Live performances and broadcasts will go out on our platforms on Saturday 25 June, and we are looking to programme a range of activities throughout the day.
We are looking for a wide range of creatives to perform at our festival either online or in person!
Musicians from any genre to play up to 30-minute slots throughout the day, live or pre-recorded (subject to flexibility)
We are keen to find artists that would be interested in collaborative projects with musicians such as draw-alongs and musical workshops.
If you’re a composer, check out our special open call and brief here!
Rural Fest is a completely free event, however we will be paying our artists a nominal fee for taking part in the event (more information will be given with statements of interest).
The whole day is about accessibility, creativity, community and the environment, and we would love for you to be a part of it.
Make Music Day is showcased both nationally and internationally. In the last couple of years, our livestreams have been viewed across the world in countries such as Tokyo, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Italy as well as being very well interacted with here in the UK. Consequently, Rural Fest 2022 is a fantastic opportunity to have your music heard by a widespread new audience!
Moreover, we will be doing feature blogs, panel discussions and interviews with our performers. These will be conducted by our Rural Fest young music journalists to further help boost your profile and influence.
We think that Rural Fest 2022 is an exceedingly exciting prospect and we hope you do as well!
