Sounding Out Skipton!

Join us for our next Sounding Out Residency in Skipton!

A fun filled 2 weekends of creative music workshops for young musicians aged 10-18.

The residency will be led by Ali Mac, drummer, percussionist, drum programmer, and contemporary dance accompanist! He is also a co-writer and drummer for Zimbabwean soul artist ‘Thabo’, and became an official Ludwig Drums Artist in 2017.

Join us to explore the exciting styles of Latin American Music, come and learn new instrumental and composition techniques and perform alongside Ali Mac in concert. All abilities are welcome!

Taking place at Carleton-in-Craven Village Hall.

Workshops will take place from 10.30am - 3.30pm (21/22 and 28/29 September) with a concert 7-8pm on Sunday 29th September.

Sounding Out is a project led by youth music charity NYMAZ which aims to provide the county’s young people with more music opportunities. The Sounding Out residency is delivered by NYMAZ working in partnership with Live Music Now, with funding from Arts Council England, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, and Santander Foundation.
