NYMAZ conquers the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge!

On Sat 20 April, NYMAZ Trustee Dr Robert Wilsmore and Administrator Millie Watkins succeeded in conquering the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – climbing the peaks of Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside and covering a distance of some 24.5 miles in under 12 hours!

The aim of the challenge was to raise money for exciting music projects for North Yorkshire’s children and young people in challenging circumstances.

As advocates of creativity, NYMAZ recorded a soundscape of the journey – a sonic document of Rob and Millie’s travails, the people they met and the walking songs which spurred them on. All donors will receive a copy of the track as a special thank you. You can view more photos from the day on NYMAZ’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.504815132899627.1073741825.159146540799823&type=3

So far we have raised over £1,700 and counting!

Donations are being accepted up until 31 May via the link below.
