Young People, Music & Rural Isolation symposium
Tuesday 27 January
2pm – 5.30pm
The Courthouse, Westgate, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, YO7 1QS
NYMAZ invites you to join us for an afternoon of lively debate and discussion, examining the benefits, opportunities and challenges surrounding the provision of participatory music activities for children and young people living in rural areas.
Hear the latest thinking and research as we:
• Launch NYMAZ’s Young People, Music & Rural Isolation report
• Find out what the funders think in a panel discussion
• Learn from the experiences of regional case studies
• Explore initial findings from the Connect: Resound Digital R&D Fund
for the Arts project, which is testing digital methods of providing music tuition
The event will also be an opportunity to discuss new ideas and approaches with others in the sector and, of course, enjoy music.
We are also offering complimentary afternoon tea and invite you to stay on for a drink afterwards.
If you would like to book a place, please e-mail Millie Watkins at firstname.lastname@example.org
Supported by the National Foundation for Youth Music under the Musical Inclusion programme for North Yorkshire.
