Crash Bang Ballot!
Working alongside musician Billy Hickling and artist Lyn Wait, young people from Ryedale produced creative responses to Ryedale District Council's old metal ballot boxes in an exploration of power, democracy and citizenship. Participants trasformed the disused ballot boxes into musical instruments and pieces of art, showcasing their work in a performance at Helmsley Arts Centre, and an exhibition at the Ryedale Folk Museum. Crash Bang Ballot! was delivered by Helmsley Arts Centre working in partnership with NYMAZ, commissioned by Ryedale District Council.
